Construction Overview:

Three Season Pullover is worked from the top down. The back shoulder pieces are knit separately and joined across the back of the neck. The remainder of the back is worked flat, with armhole shaping for sizes 4-10. Front panels are picked up from the shoulders and shaped into a V-neck, then joined with the back using mattress stitch to form the body. The sleeves are picked up and knit in the round, finished with cozy 1x1 ribbed cuffs. The collar stitches are picked up and worked in the round to complete the clean neckline.

Techniques Used:

- Reading charts (no written instructions for charts)

- Knitting cables

- Lace knitting

- Mattress stitch

- Provisional cast-on

- Working flat and in the round

- Faux sewn bind-off

- Fixing cable mistakes without frogging! (video tutorial included)=

Three Season Pullover is designed with 4-8" of positive ease, giving it a relaxed, comfortable fit. To achieve the intended fit through the shaped drop shoulder and sleeves, it's important to select a size with the recommended amount of ease.

Yarn Recommendations:

We recommend using a worsted-weight yarn with a cotton-wool blend for a garment that’s warm yet light enough for layering. This yarn ensures the cables and textured stitches pop while providing a soft, airy feel. Testers have also had success with 100% Merino wool!

Recommended Yarns:

- Cascade Cantata (70% Cotton / 30% Merino Wool): 218 yds (200 m) per 100g skein

- Katia Concept Cotton-Merino (70% Cotton / 30% Wool): 115 yds (105 m) per 50g skein

Both yarns have a unique construction, combining cotton and merino wool in a blown tube, creating an airy and lofty fabric that’s perfect for transitional weather. Cables and textured stitches really shine with these yarns!

Alternative Yarns:

Look for “blow yarns” with a similar cotton tube-blown wool construction, such as **Drops Air** or **Hobbii Divina**. 100% Merino wool also works beautifully for this pullover.

Yardage:

These yardages include swatching. If you plan to lengthen the pullover, consider purchasing an extra skein.
